03.20.04 : Vision Quest will screen this Sunday (March 21) at Woodlands Cultural Centre London Ontario and Young Spirits Rising film festival in Kelowna (March 26)

11.08.03 : now that the new technology is in place, new screenings coming soon and educational packages to be prepared for several universities and for amnesty international's "stolen sisters" project. more to come, stay tuned.

05.16.03 : vision quest recently screened to a small intimate group in vancouver and was well received. i am told it is slated to show in a film festival of aboriginal filmmakers and will take place in the interior of bc. i will post more when i know more. also vision quest will screen in august in ontario at a conference (will clearify title soon). i am hoping to get out there for the event. again, i will post more info when i get it.

01.10.03 : Lots of great feedback from the fundraiser. educational packages will be assembled once i resolve my computer problems. in the mean time better quality movies have been uploaded to the site. look for events in BC during the next year.

11.18.02 : my computer packed it in on me man! i gotta wait for a new machine to make more video transfers. those who i said i would send them to - i will when i get a new machine. the joys of working independently.

08.05.02 : so far this video has been shown in France, Austria, Ontario and is also being viewed in Vancouver. Found that a NYC University is also listing it as a suggested video.

07.12.02 : change of plans. i am too broke to donate tapes. tapes that are needed by those in the fast will be given. that is the final destination for these tapes. you can still view it online for those who cannot get the tape. sorry about this but i haven't any money and am looking for a job.

07.04.02 : the film is done. tapes are being sent out.

05.04.02 : some confusion has arose over the tape. the tape has not been released yet. it iwill be released by the end of next week. sorry for the wait but i had to wait for a few things to proceed with the final. i assure you it will be worth the wait. i wanted it to be nothing less than perfect for those awaiting it. hang in there cause we are almost there. for real.

05.03.02 : final editing is taking place. introduction being developed and sound by john tennant. adding a few images and poster of missing women. should be finalized next week then i can master the whole film.

03.15.02 : final changes will be made in april. after that i will be distributing the tapes.

02.22.02 : ok. i am holding back the tapes since, i maybe making a few minor changes due to some suggestions. over all great feedback however i would like to wait for the email reguarding some suggestions befor i completely let go of the tape. so hang in there, in the mean time please continue to sign up for the tape. i will send out in a few days.

02.16.02 : first set of tapes are going to Edna, Wayne, Bruce Saunders, and some of the families of the missing women as i have received some submission forms for the tapes. my friend isidore will also take a tape to the Carnagie centre in vancouver next week and show it there. i will be sending them out in batches. tapes have already been sent to; Gloria, VTV, Macola Housing here in Victoria.

02.13.02 : i made the vhs box cover

02.12.02 : current version is finally online. streaming real player is 120 megs. need i remind you that the vhs version is crystal clear and clean... due to compression the web version is degraded... also i have added the structure diagram (like a drum) of the film to the images section

02.10.02 : hang in there friends, the final online version will be uploaded as soon as i get a desk. in the mean time my prayers for the missing women, their family and friends.

01.28.02 : yes i actually have a vhs tape sucsessfully transfered! note the online version is now out of date and will be up online in a week.

01.26.02 : well most of it is fine but there are some qurks in a few places i need to fix now that i can finally see it on a tv screen. working out a few minor issues.

01.26.02 : vision quest is officially finished and tomorrow i will attempt the first vhs video transfer... the final is around 13 gigs big... phew! the project and all the files are 40 gigs! finally! stay tuned.

01.25.02 : well i have reached the final stage of the process. not that it is easy or anything... computer keeps crashing and my drive dissapeared on me ... not cool. i have crashed several times after long renders only to loose my rendered files. man adobe premiere 6 and apple os 9.4 are seriously buggy and driving me insane. i am so close... if only my technical counterparts would behave! i have outputted half of the final film so we are almost done.

01.23.02 : ah yes... john and i have smoothed out all the audio glitches and i am now in the final stages of a final render. can you believe that we are almost there? thanx to john i am feeling good about the sound.

01.21.02 : john tennant has been pulled on to the project to help master and optimize the sound. he will be the sound editor. one needs a sound professional to get it right. i am getting close to the end... we are trying to resolve some sync issues and other tech issues but i am sure that feb will be our release time. phew. wow what a project this is! but i am so glad to be doing it. a full credit list will be soon available.

01.13.02 : ok well files rebuilt and backed up in 3 places. rendering right now for final transfer. fidgiting to get the whole movie off the machine and on to a vhs tape at least for now. later i will worry about the large digital render for beta transfers. for now we will use vhs for a few screenings. maybe a vhs tape will be ready by end of jan but no promisses as i am moving for feb 1 and don't have a home yet :0

01.08.02 : well... my life is so typical. computer crashed. lost my vision quest whole file. i will have to rebuild. i have a back up but it is out of date. will take a few more weeks. i am in a sour sour mood and want to #$%@#% kill my computer.

01.07.02 : full renders done after numerous crashing. with only a few megs left on my machine, i will test to see if this massive file will transfer smoothly. i have broken the movie down into 7 parts for easier render and for the computer to handle. soon i should have a vhs test version...

01.04.02 : well... i am now outputting full format for a pre screening purpose. testing the full render which can take upto 14 hours! doing day by day for full digital transfer... i tell you it's a HUGE file.... 30 gigs to be precise so you can understand what i am going through over here to get this out of my machine! patience... we are almost there! ;) in the mean time please see the online version. i am proud to be a part of this.

12.31.01 : movie updated!

12.31.01 : sneek peek the poster here while the 14 hour render is working... up will be a close to final version.. added is the gathering of voices by gloria... ties the video up nicely. made some minor changes.

12.28.01 : gloria and i work out the bumps in the vision quest video. will head to oppenheimer park to shoot some seconds of info for the video. will add voice and shot of gloria introducing certain parts of the video. will add some text lay ins. then after that a final render. should be ready in january once we get these things done. stay tuned.

12.15.01 : all the names of participants will be listed by day in the credits. a tighter version will be up around midnight... in the mean time you can watch the next version.

12.14.01 : ok! full movie added and also day clips..we are almost there!!! for a full movie screening make sure you have real player / quicktime. not final yet... i am currently toying with u2's where the street's have no name...i will post that one by morning... until then i have the other u2 song in there as a place holder

12.13.01 : entering final edting stage & final dressings... due to the fact that there was a public radio playing alot of the time in the background i decided to pull out a song from the background and weave it throughout the film. i think i has a nice flow with the nature of the event. you will notice U2's with or without you within the peice as i remembering hearing it several times at the park and on the footage. tomorrow day's 1 & 5 will be added with dressings and music.

12.04.01 : New versions of days going up. moving close to the final. final will be 1h and on video by end of dec.

11.24.01 : full length day clips are added to the movie section. easier to view :) if there is anything in the footage you do not want in there please email me. in another day i will have all days up and will remove the big 350 meg file.

11.23.01 : ok i will be exporting each day as its own movie. should make it easier to view. will be fixing some things as well. still a rough cut. i have 2 days of rendering and then i will post.

11.21.01 : vision quest movie rough assembly posted! it's huge! a 350 honkin file. so make sure you have a fast connection or it will take 3 days to download. it's an hour right now... and is here for the producers working on the film to easily access the current versions. it is here for you also to take a sneek peek... very soon this will be rapped up. remember. it's rough. enjoy :)

11.07.01 : we are back on track! currently editing 1.5 hours of footage on my computer if you can believe that... found a way around my problem. rough assembly has resumed...

10.24.01 : we need help! we need a bigger hard drive that can handle the 30 gigs of digital video footage we have so far assembled into a rough assembly cut. we are stuck at the moment and urgently need either someone to donate a facility or to invest in a full motion hard drive... if you can help please email me.

10.10.01 : 3 people assigned to vision quest video for post production. phaze 3 has begun. will meet with First Story producer in the next few weeks.

10.0.01 : To be no more than 15 mins in length and will be first screened to the people of vision quest and then released to tv and festivals. There is word that VTV First Story would like to air this video and I am busy preparing for that. Following that I would like to release to Knowledge Network, WTN, APN, Vision TV. This film is created out of my own pocket and has no $ market value and would like to keep it that way. Thank you to Edna Brass who sent this beautiful document in regards to my participation.
